URGENT APPEAL FOR HONEY AND BRACKEN - TWO GORGEOUS LABRADORS. ROOM FOR TWO? Honey and Bracken have recently come back into our charity care. They have been adopted just over twelve months. These two ladies are Labradors and very outdoorsy dogs. Although they have been given many adventures their adopter feels they need a home with land and more time outdoors than in. More details are available and we are very happy to discuss these girls needs. They are beautiful, happy and in need of a new start. Honey is the more confident of the two and Bracken is a little more timid. They both love their walks and Honey loves a fuss and cuddle. Bracken would need more time to adjust however they love each other dearly and they are a very bonded pair of dogs. They originally came into care from the stray kennels in May 2022. They love walking and adventures and they get along great with other dogs. They would benefit from an experienced active human or couple that just adore this breed. The girls love water, running and have responded to great recall training in their home. Honey and Bracken are now back in kennels and we desperately search to find them a new start as soon as possible. Kennels are meant as a temporary place for all our rescue dogs and our aim is to find them the love an from a human and the home comforts they deserve.
WHAT SORT OF HOME DO BRACKEN AND HONEY NEED?
Honey and Bracken will need a home together. We will not separate them as they are a bonded pair and love each other dearly. Honey is more confident and Bracken is slightly timid but is happy to have a stroke and take treats. They both need a very active home with an outdoorsy lifestyle. We feel anyone with land and a larger garden that loves hiking would be perfect. The girls are more happy outside than inside so someone who works from home and can allow the ladies access to a garden or land would be great. Both Honey and Bracken are spayed and fully vaccinated. They get along great with other dogs so could mix well when out and about with family and friends dogs of a friendly nature. We would not place these girls with reactive dogs as they have such friendly temperaments and kind natures. They could live with older children in a family although a quieter lifestyle in the home is easier for rescue dogs to settle without extras added pressures. Honey and Bracken now need a new start as soon as possible. We welcome applications and phone calls to discuss the girls needs in more details. We appeal to find some rescue flag flyers for these abandoned and stray dogs in need. CAN YOU HELP?
We ask people to be aware that we cannot reserve dogs for months at a time. Our charity is small and we have many dogs to care for every day. Our vet bills and kennelling bills are very large. Rehoming is a crucial part of keeping a charity afloat. If you have holidays planned or other commitments please only apply for rescue when your circumstances can provide a home for our dogs. We would love to hear from any rescue flag flying people as we struggle with a huge amount of unwanted animals. Due to the aftermath of the pandemic stray kennels are full and charities like ours with no staff are finding it difficult to help such a huge volume of animals. By adopting you will be freeing up a space for another urgent stray dog from a Yorkshire pound. Thank you.
PLEASE COMPLETE AN APPLICATION FORM WITH ESSENTIAL DETAILS ABOUT YOURSELF BY CLICKING ON THE ADOPT ME BUTTON BELOW. PLEASE READ THE DETAILS ABOVE ABOUT THE HOME OUR GIRLS NEED BEFORE APPLYING. HOME CHECKS AND VET REFERENCES IF POSSIBLE ARE NEEDED PRIOR ANY ADOPTION OF OUR RESCUE DOGS. THANK YOU. WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU.
We thank people for their patience and kind words of support. Our charity exists with no staff so time is always very precious and we are work extremely late hours to maintain our small rescue. We are now seeing an increase in stray dogs, cruelty and shocking abandonment. We remain here for the dogs with no voice and an uncertain future. We are working hard to accommodate many neglected dogs. Support and kindness towards our voluntary organisation is greatly appreciated.
Please contact us at Good Life with information about yourself and the home you can offer any of our rescue dogs. We have many amazing dogs that have fallen on very sad times and found himself homeless and unwanted at stray kennels and in terrible situations. All of them are deserving of a new start and a special home. We help a huge amount of abandoned Staffies and cross breed bull breeds too left waiting at the Yorkshire stray kennels and in very difficult situations. We encourage adoption and invite anyone with misconceptions of Staffies to come and meet some very special dogs. We are very active and fly a flag high for the Bull breeds although we are not a breed specific rescue. Staffords are loving and reliable dogs. They have so much to give and have a huge affinity with people. We exist entirely on volunteers and welcome phone calls to discuss our dogs and our adoption process.
