NORA. GERMAN SHEPHERD CROSS YOUNGSTER IN NEED OF AN EXPERIENCED ADOPTER
Nora is a stunning German Shepherd cross who was abandoned. She has had a very sad life and came into care very underweight and as an unwanted stray dog. Initially Nora was timid on arrival but has come on leaps and bounds with lots of attention and people time. This girl has made amazing progress and really turned so many corners. Although Nora can be initially strong on her lead she has fast learned that pulling like a train gets you nowhere. (lol). Nora is doing amazing and is so loved at kennels by volunteers. After being reactive initially she has made amazing progress and has even managed walks with other dogs. Her guidance, socialising and boundaries along with mountains of exercise will need to continue in her new home. Nora will be two years old in June and is an absolute stunner. We do have some history on her past life that has been endured and not lived happily at the hands of a human. What we are now aiming for is an extra special human and adopter that have ideally Shepherd experience and love adventures and walking. Nora needs a committed, patience human who is also able to show her mountains of love and reassurance and continued guidance to move forward. We are working hard to find her a dedicated rescue focused adopter that will love this loyal and smart breed. Nora is super clever and very affectionate. She will love you unconditionally once she gets to know you. She adores everyone at kennels that has shown her some love and will be such a loyal girl. This girl deserves some love in her life. We feel she needs a one to one home with a couple or a person who has a calm life in a less busy environment. An active home would be amazing for Nora. Please read on to see more details about Nora.
WHAT SORT OF HOME DOES NORA NEED?
This stunning dog has made so much progress. She needs a home where someone is committed and will continue to guidance, tarising and socialising. Nora needs a home with adults and a calm environment to settle and adjust into without added pressures. A home that will not leave her as a lonely dog all day is perfect. She needs a patient human that is prepared to dedicate time to extra lead training. She has already made amazing progress and soon slows down on her walks. Nora is a fast learner and has been doing amazing on her walks. Initially Nora can be worried and will bark at other dogs but is happy now to walk with other calmer dogs. Nora has shown few issues with other dogs however a home as the only girl within a calm home would be perfect with continued socialising on her walks. We need to find Nora a human or couple that love walking and are prepared to give her extra time socialising, stimulation and lead training. She can be strong initially but is doing amazing on her adventures. Anyone that loves Shepherds and understands their needs would be perfect. We are prepared to work with any individuals that can come and meet Nora a few times to win her trust and love. She has become a big favourite with walkers at kennels who often sit with this young dog so she knows that she is loved. Time is a great healer for rescue dogs and we desperately need to find Nora a very special rescue human. We welcome calls of interest for her and welcome meet and greets. Calls are also welcome to discuss this young dogs past life and her future needs. Nora is a true rescue dog in need of love. CAN YOU HELP?
We ask people to be aware that we cannot reserve dogs for months at a time. Our charity is small and we have many dogs to care for every day. Our vet bills and kennelling bills are very large. Rehoming is a crucial part of keeping a charity afloat. If you have holidays planned or other commitments please only apply for rescue when your circumstances can provide a home for our dogs. We would love to hear from any rescue flag flying people as we struggle with a huge amount of unwanted animals. Due to the aftermath of the pandemic stray kennels are full and charities like ours with no staff are finding it difficult to help such a huge volume of animals. By adopting you will be freeing up a space for another urgent stray dog from a Yorkshire pound. Thank you.
PLEASE COMPLETE AN APPLICATION FORM WITH ESSENTIAL DETAILS ABOUT YOURSELF BY CLICKING ON THE ADOPT ME BUTTON BELOW. PLEASE READ THE DETAILS ABOVE ABOUT THE HOME OUR GIRLS NEED BEFORE APPLYING. HOME CHECKS AND VET REFERENCES IF POSSIBLE ARE NEEDED PRIOR ANY ADOPTION OF OUR RESCUE DOGS. THANK YOU. WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU.
We thank people for their patience and kind words of support. Our charity exists with no staff so time is always very precious and we are work extremely late hours to maintain our small rescue. We are now seeing an increase in stray dogs, cruelty and shocking abandonment. We remain here for the dogs with no voice and an uncertain future. We are working hard to accommodate many neglected dogs. Support and kindness towards our voluntary organisation is greatly appreciated.
Please contact us at Good Life with information about yourself and the home you can offer any of our rescue dogs. We have many amazing dogs that have fallen on very sad times and found himself homeless and unwanted at stray kennels and in terrible situations. All of them are deserving of a new start and a special home. We help a huge amount of abandoned Staffies and cross breed bull breeds too left waiting at the Yorkshire stray kennels and in very difficult situations. We encourage adoption and invite anyone with misconceptions of Staffies to come and meet some very special dogs. We are very active and fly a flag high for the Bull breeds although we are not a breed specific rescue. Staffords are loving and reliable dogs. They have so much to give and have a huge affinity with people. We exist entirely on volunteers and welcome phone calls to discuss our dogs and our adoption process.
